Uniforms

ALL 2nd-High School Co-ed players are required to wear a Westside Soccer Club uniform for games. Uniforms include a jersey, a pair of shorts and one pair of socks. Cost: $42. Uniforms may be purchased at:

THPRD Residency

All players participating with Westside Soccer Club must have a current THPRD account and THPRD ID number to register for the season. Players that reside outside of the THPRD boundaries will need to pay the THPRD out-of-district assessment fee for the season.

**The "out of district" assessment fee is administered, collected and monitored by THPRD, not Westside Soccer Club. This fee is in addition to your registration fee with Westside Soccer Club and is set by the THPRD district. Registration Information

TEAM FORMATION
The team requests of players who register early will be given priority over those registering later. We cannot guarantee requests will be honored, although we try to accomodate requests. Our complete team formation policy can be found here.

PAYMENT POLICY
Payment is due at time of registration. If you have indicated on your registration that you would like to "pay by check", please make sure to submit payment as soon as possible. We will not consider your player(s) registration complete until payment has been made and will not place player until paid in full. Placement requests will only be honored if possible at time of payment--not registration (no exceptions). You may call the office during listed business hours to pay with visa/mc.

SCHOLARSHIP
Westside Soccer Club offers limited scholarships. Request for these must be made at the time of registration. Financial aid applications will be emailed, and MUST be returned for player to be placed onto a team. Applications must be returned before "late" registration time begins. Registrations will not be considered complete until application is received in the office and placement will be made at that time, placement requests will only be honored if possible.

REFUND POLICY
The policy of the WESTSIDE SOCCER is to issue no refunds after a child has been assigned to a team. Prior to this, a refund of the registration fee less an administrative handling fee will be issued. Refunds for lost games and/or practices
will not be made unless the full season has been cancelled. Extreme weather conditions are a risk for outdoor sports programs and can happen anytime of year.

DUAL ROSTERING
Westside Soccer Club allows dual rostering under the following guidelines:
*Players that are participating in a development program that is provided by a club other that Westside Soccer Club.

Westside Soccer Club does not allow dual rostering under the following guidelines:
*Players that are participating in a Premier Development program provided by a competitive organization.
*Players that are rostered on a Competitive team and/ or Select team within a competitivie organization.
*Players that are rostered on any other organization's program within the THJSL league (cannot play with 2 different clubs).
*Players that are rostered on any high school soccer team (JVII, JV, Varsity, or on a competitive soccer team).

PLAY UP POLICY:
Westside Soccer Club allows for those players in GK-G7 (only) the opportunity to "play up" one school year ("playing down" is not allowed). You must request this by sending an email to the office (westsidesoccerinfo@gmail.com).
*If we do not receive a request to play up (a coach/placement request is not enough, we must receive an email request), your player will be placed onto an appropriate age level team. If a request is sent after placement, we will place your player as requested, if space allows.

SCHOOLS:Westside Soccer Club generally registers players from the following schools:
Hiteon, Fir Grove, Chehalem, Vose, Sexton Mountain Elementary schools, Highland Park and Conestoga Middle Schools, Beaverton and Southridge High Schools (High School Co-ed), and several private schools in the South Beaverton area.

 
Protecting Young Victims from Sexual Abuse

Mandatory Reporting Policy

On February 14, 2018, the Protecting Young Victims from Sexual Abuse and Safe Sport Authorization Act of 2017 was signed into law. The bill amends the Victims of Child Abuse Act of 1990 to extend the duty to report suspected child abuse, including sexual abuse, within 24 hours to all adults who are authorized to interact with minor or amateur athletes by a national governing body, a member of a national governing body, or an amateur sports organization that participates in interstate or international amateur athletic competition. To comply with this law all of Westside Soccer Club's board members, administrators, coaches and volunteers complete SafeSport training. SafeSport's website is https://safesport.org/training. Note, ALL athletes turning 18 during the Fall season must also complete the SafeSport training. Please refer to our website's Coaches tab for instructions. Also, if you are a parent looking for resources on keeping your athlete safe, you can access Parent Training at no cost by creating an account at www.athletesafety.org, add the parent training to your bag, and you'll be able to access the training. The Parent's Guide to Misconduct in Sport is designed for the parents of athletes of all ages. This course explains the issues of misconduct in sport and helps parents ensure their children have a positive and safe sport experience.
